Connect Alexa to Your Computer: Download Alexa App

If you are using the Windows 10 computer, then you probably have the Alexa App for PC. By using the Amazon Alexa, you can connect the Echo device to your computer.  Once you have connected the Alexa to your computer, you can turn on the PC remotely using it. Also you can interact with the smart home or Alexa enabled devices. 

Let’s have a look how you can use the Amazon Alexa App for PC 

Presently, the Alexa app for computers is available on supported Windows 10 devices. The application either comes preinstalled on the user’s device or offered at the time of initial setup.

To check whether Alexa is present on your computer, you can just click on the Windows search bar and type Alexa in it.  If the app does not appear, it is not available and you can download it from the Amazon official website.  Computers like HP, Asus, Acer, and Lenovo are integrated with Amazon Alexa app in Windows 10 series. 

If you have the Alexa app on Windows app, you can setup the App and start using it by following the below mentioned simple steps: 

• Click on the ‘Start’ button and choose ‘Alexa on Windows’ application. 
• Choose the ‘Set up Amazon Alexa’ option when you see the setup screen. 
• On the Terms and Conditions screen, click to continue. 
• Choose the Settings as per your desire, and click ‘Finish Setup’. If you are not sure about the settings you select, then relax as you can change the settings later. 
• Click on ‘Sign In’ option to sign into the Amazon account. Or, you can simply ‘Create a New Amazon Account’ if you have not created it yet. 

Once you are done with the initial login process, your Alexa will be ready to use. 

For using the Alexa App, you can simply say the wake word ( Alexa, Computer, etc), followed by the command you want Alexa to execute. Alternatively, you can click on the ‘Alexa on Windows icon to start the application. 

If you want to use the Amazon Alex app on some other device like MAC or Smartphone device, you can simply Download Alexa App from the official Amazon website and start using the application without any hassle.  Once you have downloaded the app and completed the setup, you can use it to execute so many smart tasks just giving the voice commands.
